Interventional Radiology Faculty Position

The Department of Radiology at Stanford Medicine is searching for a full-time interventional radiologist that would be based at the main Stanford Medicine campus. This faculty appointment would be at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor level in the University Medical Center Line or Clinician Educator Line.

The major criteria for appointment for faculty in the University Medical Line is excellence in the overall mix of clinical care, clinical teaching, scholarly activity that advances clinical medicine, and institutional service appropriate to the programmatic need the individual is expected to fulfill. The major criterion for appointment as Clinician Educators is excellence in the overall mix of clinical care, teaching, administrative and/or scholarship appropriate to the programmatic need the individual is expected to fulfill.  Academic rank and line will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.

The applicant will have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degree(s) or equivalent, must be board-certified or eligible in diagnostic radiology, and have completed a formal fellowship in interventional radiology or equivalent training. Experience in interventional radiology is essential and commitment to teaching and education is valued. The successful candidate will contribute his/her substantial research and/or clinical expertise in interventional radiology, to the academic profile of the divisions. All areas of clinical, translational, and basic science research in interventional radiology (including, but not limited to, oncology, thrombosis, women’s health, population health, health disparities, medical device development, bioinformatics, data science, and artificial intelligence) are all potential areas of research interest.

The expected base pay range for this position is:

Clinical Instructor: $400,000 - $406,000
Assistant Professor:  $415,000 - $433,000
Associate Professor:  $448,000 - $466,000
Full Professor:  $486,000 - $504,000

This pay range reflects base pay, which is based on faculty rank and years in rank. It does not include all components of the School of Medicine’s faculty compensation program or pay from participation in departmental incentive compensation programs. Stanford University has provided a pay range representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for the position. The pay offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors including (but not limited to) the experience and qualifications of the selected candidate including equivalent years in rank, training, and field or discipline; internal equity; and external market pay for comparable jobs.
