Our department operates on the principle that addressing environmental challenges requires deciphering the complex behavioral, structural, or historical dynamics of human systems. We seek an innovative scholar focusing at any—or the integration—of these levels, whether investigating individual choices and behavior change, structural dynamics and social organization, the institutional governance of resources and risk, or related topics. We welcome candidates who approach these questions through diverse research strategies—whether qualitative, quantitative, or mixed-methods—including formal and computational modeling, experimental and data-driven analyses, or field-based, systemic, and historical inquiries.
