Orthopaedic Pediatric Surgeon – Stanford University

The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Stanford University seeks an Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor to join in the University Medical Line (UML) or Clinician Educator (CE) Line as an orthopaedic pediatric surgeon. We are particularly interested in candidates who have interests in foot/ankle, hip deformity and preservation, and sports.  Candidates must be board certified/eligible in orthopaedic surgery and eligible for a California Medical License.

• The major criteria for appointment for faculty in the University Medical Line shall be excellence in the overall mix of clinical care, clinical teaching, scholarly activity that advances clinical medicine, and institutional service appropriate to the programmatic need the individual is expected to fulfill.
• The major criterion for appointment as Clinician Educators is excellence in the overall mix of clinical care, teaching, administrative and/or scholarship appropriate to the programmatic need the individual is expected to fulfill.

Academic rank and line will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.

The successful applicant should have board certification by ABOS, pediatric orthopedic fellowship training, and secondary training foot/ankle, hip deformity, and/or sports.  An interest in academic settings, with roles in education of residents, fellows, along with support for our pediatric orthopedic research program will be important criteria for candidate qualifications.

The expected base pay range for this position is:

$310,000-$360,000

This pay range reflects base pay, which is based on faculty rank and years in rank. It does not include all components of the School of Medicine’s faculty compensation program or pay from participation in departmental incentive compensation programs. Stanford University has provided a pay range representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for the position upon hire.
