Open Faculty Positions Focused on Artificial Intelligence Approaches to Radiological Imaging Stanford University
The Department of Radiology at Stanford School of Medicine is recruiting a full-time faculty member at the level of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor to join the Integrative Biomedical Imaging Informatics at Stanford (IBIIS) Division. IBIIS faculty focus on pioneering, translating, teaching and disseminating methods in data science that integrate imaging, clinical, and -omics data to better understand the molecular mechanisms of diseases and to improve the accuracy and efficiency of clinical care. Recognizing that Artificial Intelligence (AI) techniques, which are likely to be a major focus of this effort, require large sets of integrated imaging, clinical, and outcomes data, the Stanford University School of Medicine has developed and made available a research data warehouse, which includes clinical images and linked data from the electronic medical record, to enable discovery of new relationships between imaging findings and clinical, histological, and genomic manifestations of health and disease.

The predominant criterion for appointment in the University Tenure Line is a major commitment to research and teaching. The major criteria for appointment for faculty in the University Medical Line shall be excellence in the overall mix of clinical care, clinical teaching, scholarly activity that advances clinical medicine, and institutional service appropriate to the programmatic need the individual is expected to fulfill. Candidates should have an MD or MD/PhD degree(s) or equivalent, must be board-certified in diagnostic radiology or equivalent training, have completed a formal fellowship in body or abdominal imaging or a related sub-specialty, and, if applicable, have shown an outstanding track record of research productivity. Research can include all aspects of body imaging, including clinical, translational, or basic science, as well as computational science and artificial intelligence.

Biomedical Informatics/Immunology/Rheumatology Open Rank Stanford University
The Divisions of Immunology and Rheumatology and the Stanford Center for Biomedical Informatics Research in the Department of Medicine at Stanford University are seeking to hire an informatician for an appointment at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor, with expertise in either translational research or clinical research. The successful candidate will have formal training in biomedical informatics (or a related discipline) and will develop new computational methods that can be applied to areas such as inflammatory disease, autoimmune disease, immunologic mechanisms of disease, “omics” research, clinical research, and pre-clinical models of disease.
