The Department of Radiology at Stanford University School of Medicine is searching for a full-time radiologist in the Cardiothoracic Imaging Division. This full-time position will be at the Assistant, Associate, or Professor level in the University Tenure Line, University Medical Line, or Clinician Educator Line. The predominant criterion for appointment in the University Tenure Line is a major commitment to research and teaching. The major criteria for appointment for faculty in the University Medical Line is excellence in the overall mix of clinical care, clinical teaching, scholarly activity that advances clinical medicine, and institutional service appropriate to the programmatic need the individual is expected to fulfill. The major criterion for appointment as Clinician Educators is excellence in the overall mix of clinical care, teaching, administrative and/or scholarship appropriate to the programmatic need the individual is expected to fulfill. Academic rank and line will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
The applicant will have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degree(s) or equivalent, must be board-certified or eligible in diagnostic radiology, and have completed a formal fellowship in cardiothoracic imaging or equivalent training. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with patients, clinicians, trainees, and hospital staff are required; experience in clinical imaging and commitment to teaching and education are essential.
The Cardiothoracic Imaging Division provides advanced imaging services at Stanford University Hospital and Clinics to nationally renowned programs in Thoracic Oncology, Interstitial Lung Disease, and Lung and Heart Transplantation. Clinical responsibilities will span the spectrum of cardiothoracic imaging studies including chest radiography, computed tomography, and magnetic resonance imaging.
