The Department of Dermatology at Stanford University School of Medicine is seeking board-certified or board-eligible dermatologists to join the faculty as Clinical Assistant Professors in the Clinician Educator line. This is a full-time, non-tenure eligible academic appointment, offering the opportunity to provide outstanding dermatologic care with a strong commitment to teaching and mentoring trainees and medical students.

We are seeking candidates with an MD or MD/PhD who are interested in developing a clinical practice that aligns with departmental needs and individual expertise.

The major criteria for appointment for Clinician Educators is excellence in the overall mix of clinical care, teaching, administration and/or scholarship appropriate to the programmatic need the individual is expected to fulfill.

Areas of Departmental Need

We expect the successful candidate(s) to develop or hold expertise in one or more of the following clinical and educational priorities. This list is not exhaustive and may evolve with departmental needs. We also welcome exploratory conversations about mutual fit and encourage interested candidates to apply.

Qualifications

  • MD or MD/PhD from an accredited medical school
  • Board certification or board eligibility in dermatology
  • Strong clinical dermatologic skills
  • Commitment to trainee education
  • Ability to work collaboratively in an academic medical center environment

The expected base pay range for this position is:

Assistant Professor $232,000-$244,000 

This pay range reflects base pay, which is based on faculty rank and years in rank. It does not include all components of the School of Medicine’s faculty compensation program or pay from participation in departmental incentive compensation programs.
