The Department of Statistics at Stanford University invites applications for a tenure-track or tenured appointment at any rank and in any area of Statistics or Probability, broadly understood. Applicants should have demonstrated strong research abilities and exhibit a commitment to teaching and mentoring. The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. in statistics, data science, computer science, mathematics, or a related discipline at the time of appointment and will be expected to teach and advise students at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. The appointment is expected to begin on September 1, 2025.

- Curriculum vitae (including a complete publication list)
- A research and teaching statement (no more than three single-spaced total)
- Up to 2 representative publications or preprints
- Reference information
- Non-tenured applicants should submit the names of three references who will be contacted upon submission of application.
- Applicants who currently hold tenure should submit three names of references. We will request letters of recommendation for a short list of finalists only.

The salary range for this position for academic year 2024-25:
Assistant Professor: $130,000 -158,000
Associate Professor: $170,000 - $210,000
Professor: $190,000 - $320,000

The pay offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors including (but not limited to) the qualifications of the selected candidate, budget availability, and internal equity.
