The Department seeks highly motivated individuals who have completed primary clinical training with or without additional fellowship training in anesthesia to join the Department as an Assistant, Associate or Full Professor in the University Medical Line or Clinician Educator Line. Academic line and rank will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
- The major criteria for appointment for faculty in the University Medical Line shall be excellence in the overall mix of clinical care, clinical teaching, and scholarly activity that advances clinical medicine and institutional service appropriate to the programmatic need the individual is expected to fulfill. The Department is particularly interested in highly qualified individuals interested in building leading edge basic, clinical or data-driven research programs.
- The major criteria for appointment in the Clinician Educator Line shall be excellence in the overall mix of clinical care, clinical teaching, and institutional service. For this line the department seeks individuals with strong commitments to advancing clinical care, developing innovative approaches to teaching and enhancing healthcare delivery.
Candidates must be an MD/DO/PhD or foreign equivalent, board eligible or equivalent and eligible for a California license or exemption. The successful applicant will spend a portion of time in clinical anesthesia.
